The Promotion commences 27 September 2016 12.01am AEST and ends 01 December 2016 11.59pm AEST (‘promotional period’).
PRIZE
The prizes consist of six characters in Book Five of the Angel Series — Angel’s Demon — to be named after six winning entrants. This is your chance to have your name immortalised in a book!
The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss, damage or injury suffered (even if caused by negligence) as a result of accepting and/or using a prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
ELIGIBILITY TO ENTER
Entry into the Promotion is open to all residents of Australia, with the exception of NSW (sorry, your government want to charge a fee for a competition in which there is no physical or monetary prize) and residents of the following countries:

HOW TO ENTER
To enter the draw an entrant must complete the online form during the promotional period. One entry per person. The online form is located at: http://melanietomlin.com/character-name-competition/
Directors, officers and employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter are not eligible to enter. Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or first cousin.
TRANSFERABILITY OF PRIZE
The prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash.
UNAVAILABILITY OF PRIZE
In the event that any prize becomes unavailable for reasons beyond the Promoter’s control, the Promoter may substitute a prize of equal or greater value, subject to any written directions from the various lottery authorities.
DECISIONS ARE FINAL
The Promoter’s determination regarding the draw is final and binding on all entrants. No correspondence will be entered into between the Promoter and entrants. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for late, lost or misdirected entries or other communications. Entries will be deemed void if illegitimate, forged, manipulated or tampered with in any way.
NOTIFICATION OF DRAW RESULTS
The results of the draw will be announced on Friday 16 December 2016, or earlier if the successful verification of the winners has taken place. Prize winners will be notified by email and listed on www.melanietomlin.com.
VERIFICATION
The Promoter reserves the right to request verification of age, identity, residential address of winners and any other information relevant to entry into or participation in this promotion. Verification is at the discretion of the Promoter, whose decision is final. Any requested details must be supplied by December 15, 2016. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any individual who is involved in any way in interfering or tampering with the conduct of this promotion.
RELEASE
Before the prizes are awarded, the winners and any other person(s) sharing the prizes with the winner may be required to sign an agreement to release the Promoter from and indemnify the Promoter against any liability arising from the use or participation in the prize. Irrespective of whether an entrant signs a release, by entering in the Promotion each entrant is deemed to release the Promoter from and indemnify the Promoter against any liability, loss, cost, damage, claim, demand, proceeding or litigation of any kind relating to the use or participation in the prize.
PROMOTION
Entrants consent to the Promoter using their name, likeness, image and/or voice in the event that they are a winner in any media for an unlimited period of time without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this promotion (including any outcome) and/or promoting any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Promoter.

Information collected as part of the promotion will be used for the purpose of conducting this promotion (which may include disclosure to third parties, including local lottery authorities, for the purpose of processing and conducting the promotion) and for promotional purposes surrounding this promotion. By entering this promotion entrants consent to the use of their information as described and agree that the Promoter may contact the entrant from time to time about news on books, competitions, freebies and articles for Melanie Tomlin.
LIABILITY
Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, the Promoter (including its respective officers, employees and agents) is not responsible for and excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of:
(a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control);
(b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference;
(c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter;
(d) any variation in prize value to that stated in these Terms and Conditions;
(e) any tax liability incurred by a Winner or Eligible Member; or
(f) use of a Prize.
